Privacy policy

Kraftlox is a game where young makers draw products and run a shop in the game, and can get real versions of the things they design. This policy explains what we collect when someone signs up for the Kraftlox beta on this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We wrote it to be readable by teens and parents alike.
Kraftlox is run by Combinaz Inc., a company based in Miami, Florida, USA ("we", "us"). Because we're based in the United States, sign-up information may be stored and processed there. If you have a question about your data, email joel@sunbek.com.
What we collect
When you sign up for the beta, we collect what you type into the form:

We don't ask for home addresses, photos, payment details or school names, and we don't use advertising cookies or tracking pixels on this site.
If you message us on WhatsApp
When you chat with us on WhatsApp, we receive your phone number, your WhatsApp profile name and the messages you send. We use them only to answer you. Replies may be drafted by an automated assistant, and a person on our team checks them before they're sent. WhatsApp is run by Meta, which handles your messages under its own privacy policy. Please don't send us addresses, photos or other personal details in the chat; we don't need them.
Kids and parents
- Makers aged 13 or older can sign up themselves.
- Kids under 13 can only be signed up by a parent or legal guardian, who confirms they give permission. In that case the contact details we collect are the parent's.
- In some countries the age at which a young person can agree to data use on their own is higher than 13 (up to 16 in parts of the EU). If that applies to you, please ask a parent to sign you up.
- If you're a parent and think your child signed up without your permission, email us and we'll delete their information.
How we use it
- To send beta invites and news about the Kraftlox launch.
- To choose who joins each wave of the beta.
- To understand what young makers want, so we can build a better game.
We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising from other companies.
Who we share it with
We only share sign-up information with service providers that help us run the beta, such as our website host (Netlify, which also receives the sign-up form), the email and text message services that send invites, and WhatsApp for chat. They may only use it to provide that service to us. We may also share information if the law requires it.
This site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your device's IP address when the page loads.
What stays on your device
The site remembers your language choice and the shop you claimed (its name, your email and your building) in your browser's local storage, so your shop is still on the street when you come back. It stays on your device and you can clear it at any time in your browser settings.
How long we keep it
We keep beta sign-up information until the beta ends and for up to 12 months after the Kraftlox launch, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. After that we delete it or make it anonymous.
Your choices and rights
- Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can reply STOP to any text.
- You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the information we have about you or your child.
- Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR in the EU and UK, COPPA and state laws in the US, or the Privacy Protection Law in Israel), you may have further rights, including the right to complain to your data protection authority.
To use any of these rights, email joel@sunbek.com. We'll reply within 30 days.
Keeping it safe
We use trusted providers, encrypted connections (HTTPS), and limit access to sign-up information to the people who need it to run the beta.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If the change is important, we'll email beta sign-ups before it takes effect.
